About Uzma
Get in touchI tried my first yoga class when I was 22 years old and I was hooked, I loved that I felt taller, stronger and calmer after every class.
Participating in sports like squash and running most of my adult life, I know that yoga kept me injury free, agile and feeling young. Being neuro-divergent I have found that my daily practice helps me tremendously to stay grounded and get clarity and space in the mind.
I did my Teacher Training in 2011 and have been teaching Yoga since then. I have taught in various health centres and studios, in group settings and also to individuals of all ages and ability.

In 2020 I did a three-year comprehensive diploma course with The Society of Yoga Practitioners (TSYP) to become a Yoga Therapist. The course fulfils the British Council of Yoga Therapy (BCYT) standards and qualifies me to work as a Yoga Therapist and to be registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) as a Yoga Therapist.
I have two adult daughters and I keep myself busy with the things I love doing the most, these include yoga, reading, simple healthy cooking and chanting. I am also a keen Nordic Walker.
